TeraGrid runs as a library or stand-alone application accessible via web services. It requires a simple, legacy Microsoft IIS server and can be hosted on the same server as TeraWisdom for maximum performance. TeraGrid provides cross-platform database services to TeraWisdom. This includes all data storage, querying, security, business rules, and other services required to power database applications.
Simply put, all business logic is stored and executed in TeraGrid. TeraWisdom simply decides how to display TeraGrid data in a user-friendly way.
At the end of the day, users get a simple, user-friendly interface that allows them to create, customize, and host their own custom applications without any technical knowledge.
